Do you know me or my owner? This Domestic Longhair type cat was found this afternoon in the Manning Drive area. Unfortunately we were not able to locate a microchip. She is very sweet and is surely missing her owner. If you recognize this cat, please contact us at 254-547-5584 🐾

City of Copperas Cove New Animal Care Facility Now Open 🐶🙀🐾

Copperas Cove, Texas – The City of Copperas Cove is pleased to announce the newly constructed Animal Care Facility is now open to the public. The new facility is located at 2441 FM 1113. The phone contact remains the same, (254) 547-5584.

In November 2021 the voters of the City of Copperas Cove voted affirmatively to construct a new facility during a Special Bond Election. City Council authorized ex*****on of a Professional Services Agreement with Brevard Architecture to develop the constructions plans in January 2022. Paragon Construction was engaged in February 2023 as the construction manager at risk for the project. The construction contract was later awarded to Paragon Construction by City Council on September 19, 2023, with the guaranteed maximum price of $4,401,057.49. A Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on November 3, 2023 to commence the project.

Construction has been completed and our Team is transitioning into the new facility. All citizens are now encouraged to visit the new facility for any assistance or needs, as the prior facility at 1601 N FM 116 has been closed to the public. A future Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be planned and announced in the coming weeks.
