Since our beginning in 1999, we have endeavored to do what is best for our students. We treat our students and parents as customers, recognizing that they do not have to choose our schools. They choose us because they believe in what we do. As customers, parents have the right to expect PCS to provide an education that will equip the adults of tomorrow with the abilities required to reach their ma
ximum potential in life. Those abilities include both academics and values. What is different about PCS?
- A diagnostically prescribed curriculum.
- Learning is personalized for each student.
- Teachers are hired both for their character as well as their academic abilities.
- The student always comes first, taking precedence over state mandated testing and other issues affecting education.
- Children's core values are strengthened while they learn academics.
- Students master the curricula, thus preparing them to move forward in education and in life.
- The school operates in partnership with the parent, recognizing that each parent has a part in his or her child's education. What are Priority Charter Schools?
- Priority Charter Schools are public charter school under contract with the state of Texas. All schools within the PCS system provide diagnostically prescribed, values oriented, mastery based education for their students.
- Education at PCS is personalized so that some students can accelerate while others take a little longer to complete their coursework. Highly qualified, caring teachers provide one on one assistance. This insures that every student receives the type instruction he or she needs in order to excel.
- The founder and staff of Priority Charter Schools recognize that the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and as such they must be well equipped for the job. PCS staff recognize that these leaders must be equipped with values, as well as, academic soundness. Cove Charter Academy requires uniforms and has free or reduced lunches available to those who qualify. We service grades Pre-K - 6 here in Copperas Cove campus, and can bus our 7 - 12 grades to our Killeen campus. There is no admission fee for our students for part day Pre-K through 12 grades.
