We want to share an important and deeply personal update regarding Annette. She has recently become critically ill due to advanced lung cancer that has spread rapidly. Over a very short period of time, her condition has significantly declined, and she is now in the hospital receiving hospice care.

At this time, doctors have told the family that her remaining time is likely very limited.

DonkBuilt has always been more than a business to her — it has been a passion, a purpose, and a connection to so many wonderful people. Your support, kindness, and loyalty over the years have meant the world to her and to our family.

We ask for your prayers, love, and understanding as we navigate this heartbreaking time together. Thank you for your continued support and compassion.

Election season is important! Our school board needs a change. It is important that Copperas Cove citizens vote! Our turn-out is typically very low. Our citizens need to vote if we want change. Follow Cochran-Wilson for CCISD Schoolboard Place 3!

📢 Election Season is Here – What You Need to Know

You may start seeing school board campaign signs popping up around town. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s on the ballot this November for Copperas Cove ISD:

✅ Place 3 – Mike Wilburn (retiring)
*This is the place I am running in.*
2 candidates on the ballot.

Thank you to Mr. Wilburn for his many, many years of service to our community!

✅ Place 4 – Joan Manning (current president)
2 candidates on the ballot.

Important note: Just because the president is up for re-election does not mean that person automatically remains president or the person who gets elected for place 4 is president. The school board votes each year to elect a president from among the trustees.

✅ Place 5 – Heather Copeland (3year board member)
3 candidates on the ballot.

🗳️ Why this matters:
Every vote counts. A candidate only needs to win by one vote to secure a seat.

Everyone who lives in CCISD territory (if you pay CCISD taxes or your child could attend CCISD schools) can vote in this election—if you’re registered.

I’m proud to officially announce my campaign for the Copperas Cove ISD School Board!

As someone who walked the halls of CCISD from kindergarten through graduation, I’ve lived what it means to be a Bulldawg. This town raised me, these schools shaped me, and I’m proud to call Copperas Cove home. And now, as a parent raising my own children in this district, I’m more committed than ever to helping our schools thrive.

My strong Christian faith shapes everything I do — I believe in servant leadership, integrity, and investing in the next generation. I’m running because I want every student to have access to a high-quality education, meaningful extracurricular opportunities, and strong pathways through Career & Technical Education.

This isn’t just about policy — it’s personal.
