Breaking news from Florida Department of Environmental Protection : Coral Gables Senior High School just received a Gold Apple designation ! The PTSA Green Team and school is elated.
Our students, teachers, and staff sincerely deserved this gold certification thanks to the sheer commitment and enthusiasm we have seen toward sustainable actions as part of our CAVS community continues to inspire all of us. Our PTSA Green team excelled in promoting these positive efforts to aspire gold. Our two VPs, Mr. Curtis and Mr. Martinez, were so committed to complete our green audit, and such commitment and belief in the importance of sustainable initiatives makes all the difference.
We hope to maintain the momentum with our student, teacher, administrative community and parents. We have to keep it up as future sustainable initiatives are in our pipe and we need parent support to make it happen.
