Our team is actively progressing our ticket's core values by identifying and registering new voters on our campuses! Our candidate for State Chair, Cade Marsh, was quoted in this story on LifeZette about last week's primary here in Florida where several College Republicans chapters gave away Chipotle gift cards to winning students who posted a selfie with their "Just Voted" sticker. This is just one way we are turning Florida RED in 2016! Great job guys, and keep rising!

While we are sad to see such a steadfast conservative leave the field, we are continually thankful for Senator Rubio's leadership and unwavering passion and dedication to the conservative movement. On and off the campaign trail, Marco put God and his family above all else and demonstrated the true qualities of a public servant. We are excited to see how Marco continues to play an influential role in the future of our country as we approach the November election.

This weekend, we gathered 18 of our top leaders from across the State to participate in the Leadership Institute's Youth Leadership School at The University of Miami!

Our ticket values effective leadership and we are dedicated to raising, training, and deploying our generation to turn Florida RED in 2016.

Day 1 was a complete success and we are more than ready to take on day 2!

We are deeply saddened at the loss of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

Justice Scalia embodied the principles of an intellectual cornerstone of the modern conservative movement in the Supreme Court. He will be remembered as one of the most influential conservatives in history – he shaped a generation. He fiercely defended our rights and fought for the preservation of our constitution. His leadership will be greatly missed but we will continue to fight to preserve the ideals our country was founded on.

We’re thrilled and excited to announce Jordan Wilson as the ticket's choice for Northern Regional Director for the FFCR's Executive Board.

Jordan is a Senior at the University of North Florida, studying Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. He is currently the Chairman of The University of North Florida College Republicans, and was previously the Treasurer of UNF CR chapter in 2014-2015. As the Vice President of Student Government at The University of North Florida, Jordan has helped start more than 5 different student organization on campus. In addition to his invaluable work on campus, he has worked on multiple city and state campaigns.

Jordan has more than doubled the membership count of the UNF CR chapter in the short months that he has been President, and is incredibly driven to continue this growth. He strives to ensure his College Republican members are provided with copious internship and volunteer opportunities through various political avenues. He is striving to connect more chapters in the Northern region and is looking to help federate more chapters within his region and throughout the state.

We’re excited to announce Lucas Alvarez as the ticket's choice for Western Regional Director for the FFCR's Executive Board.

Lucas is a Junior at The University of Tampa, majoring in Sport Management and minoring in Business Administration. He is currently serving as the Chairman of The University of Tampa College Republicans as well as the Gulf Regional Director for FFCR. During his tenure as Chairman, Lucas has played an instrumental role in involving his chapter at the state level, doubling its membership, and increasing involvement on campus as well as prominence in the region. Lucas is also the campaign manager on Todd Jones’ property appraisal campaign for Hillsborough County.

Outside of politics, Lucas is a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, a member and flag master of The University of Tampa’s Athletic Marketing Team, and an Event Management intern at The University of South Florida’s Athletic Department.

We’re thrilled and excited to announce Susan Walker as the ticket's choice for Development Director for the FFCR's Executive Board.

Susan is currently the Vice-Chairman for the College Republicans chapter at Florida Atlantic University - having been integral to the rebirth of the once dormant club. She has volunteered for several political campaigns in her hometown and was also very involved with Student Government and Future Business Leaders of America in her high school.

Susan is incredibly passionate and is ready to work hard to grow College Republicans and help create the best future conservative leaders.

We are excited to announce Mauricio Pons as the ticket's offering for Political Director for the FFCR's Executive Board.

Mauricio is a Freshman at Florida International University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Construction Management and plans on attending law school after he graduates. Mauricio previously interned for U.S. Representative Carlos Curbelo in his district office and he is currently serving as the Chairman of the FIU College Republicans.

Throughout the past four years, Mauricio has been active in politics and has worked with several political officials throughout the state in various capacities. Mauricio has proven to be effective in fostering positive change in the South Florida grassroots movement, and is an excellent candidate for Political Director of the FFCR ticket this year.

We’re thrilled and excited to announce Lauren Rae Konkol as the ticket's choice for Executive Director for the FFCR's Executive Board.

Lauren is a Junior at The University of Central Florida, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and anticipates pursuing a law degree after she graduates in December. She previously interned for Senator Marco Rubio in his Orlando office, and is currently working as a grassroots organizer in South Florida – actively growing College Republican chapters and building the conservative movement. In addition to her political experience, Lauren is a published author and political journalist – you can find examples of her political commentary at OUTSET magazine, or The Central Florida Future, where she authors a column on ethical issues and current events.

Her unique set of skills, deep-rooted passion and dogged work ethic have positioned her to make a difference where it counts – the millennial generation. As Executive Director, Lauren’s primary goal is to build FFCR into the organization it has the potential to be – a powerful advocate and voice for our generation.
