Families Rule.Org- Let's Be the Change We Want to See Reforming DCF, Child Welfare Agencies, and the Justice System. This will be accomplish through awareness and education. We believe knowledge is powerful. We believe investing in our families gives us a bigger return.
To provide a listening ear to vulnerable families who have been victimized by their respective child-welfare system.This page hopes to create awareness, facilitate information and provide limited support for now. Many of us have been torn by the systematic abuses done by these government officials and have been betrayed by our own lawyers to cripple us and make us lose hope.......so I will say this......we have been hardpressed from everyside, BUT not crushed.....Preplexed BUT not in despair because we have the help and inspiration of God to move forward......Persecuted but not abandoned by our strong support system, STRUCK DOWN but not destroyed......This fight is not about us or our reputation, but being a real advocate for our families....Families are our priority...changing lives for the good one family at a time.

Yummy πŸ˜‹:
Makes: 6 Sliders
Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour 20 minutes
These mouth-watering turkey burgers are made with the right amount of spices and a burst of sweet cranberries and served on small whole-wheat rolls; watch children delight in the flavors
Ingredients

1/8 cup Brown rice, long-grain, regular, dry
1 teaspoon canola oil
1 1/2 tablespoons Fresh onion, peeled, diced
1/4 cup Fresh celery, diced
1/2 tablespoon Fresh garlic, minced
1 pound Raw ground turkey, lean
1 egg, beaten
5 tablespoons Dried cranberries, chopped
3/4 cup Fresh baby spinach, chopped
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/16 teaspoon ground white pepper
6 Mini whole-wheat rolls (small dinner roll size, 1 oz each)
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 Β°F.
2. Combine brown rice and Β½ cup water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Turn heat down to low. Cover and cook until water is absorbed, about 30-40 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Cover and refrigerate until completely cooled. A rice cooker may be used with the same quantity of brown rice and water.
3. Heat canola oil in a small skillet. Add onions, celery, and garlic. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat. Cover and refrigerate until completely cooled.
4. In a medium mixing bowl, combine turkey, egg, cranberries, spinach, Worcestershire sauce, salt, peppers, brown rice, and sautΓ©ed vegetables. Mix well.
Shape into 6 patties.
5. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray. Place patties evenly spaced on baking sheet.
6. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes at 350 Β°F to an internal temperature of 165 Β°F or higher for at least 15 seconds (use a food thermometer to check the internal temperature). Do not overcook. Remove from oven and serve on a mini whole-wheat roll. Serve immediately.
7. May be served with onion, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard.

Include whole grains ( Aim to make at leSt half your grains whole grains. Look for the words β€œ100% whole wheat 🌾 β€œ on the food label. Whole grains provide more nutrients, like fiber, than refined grains. )

Know what to look for on the ingredient list. (Read the ingredient list and choose products that name a whole grain ingredient first in the list. Look for β€œwhole wheat ,” β€œbrown rice,” β€œbulgar wheat,” β€œbuckwheat,” β€œoatmeal,””whole -grain cornmeal,” β€œwhole oats,” β€œwhole rye’” or β€œwild rice .”

Add lean protein (Choose protein foods, such as lean beef πŸ₯©, turkey πŸ¦ƒ , beans, or tufu. )

Don’t forget the dairy (pair your meal with a cup of fat-free or low fat milk. They provide the same amount of calcium and other essentials nutrients as whole milk , but less fat and calories. If you don’t drink milk πŸ₯› try soy milk πŸ₯› as your beverage. )

International Women's Day (IWD) has been observed since the early 1900's - a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies. International Women's Day is a collective day of global celebration and a call for gender parity. No one government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women's network or media hub is solely responsible for International Women's Day. Many organizations declare an annual IWD theme that supports their specific agenda or cause, and some of these are adopted more widely with relevance than others.

"The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights," says world-renowned feminist, journalist and social and political activist Gloria Steinem. Our organization is organizing toy drive for families of the incarcerated. We currently collaborate our efforts with the Prison Ministry through the Angel Tree Program. Each year we would collect gifts on the parent’s behalf and give to the children while ministering. This year we want to do something different. We want to INCLUDE YOU! No matter where you are, you can be apart of this family network. All families joining together can provide a network and source for each other through the experiences we endured. We would like to serve 100 families this year in the state of Florida. We need volunteers in large numbers who can help make this successful to help plan events through the year, pen pal, to fundraise, to minister, data entry, distribute gifts, wrap gifts etc.

We would be very thankful to you if you could share your time with us and bring others who can actively participate in this drive.

General information

The purpose and mission for the child abuse hotline is to: Act as the central point of entry for calls to DCF regarding the possiblity of abuse and/ or neglect of children; To receive calls of abuse and neglect involving children and access the level of endangerment; To obtain factual information regarding a specific incident and generate a referral for investigation, if appropriate; To document and transmit all referrals of child endangerment to the appropriate office in a timely manner; thus to ensure the child's safety and proctection. DCF and some community based lead agencies whose mission statements state 'They protect children from abuse or neglect' are the very same ones who end up doing the complete opposite. There is no hope for kids in distress if the ones we entrust to protect them cannot do so when they are at the most vulnerable. Florida sadly has one of the worst child-welfare records. They are so many horror stories out there that most people are not aware of. There are parents and relatives who have been falsely accused and have had their children taken away from them without any due process of the law. And those same kids have been unfortunately abused while in the state's care. The same state that pledges to protect them. Parents in these situtuations must fight back and assert the role as the sole one responsible for taking care of their children. So just in case you (a parent)was falsely accused here are TEN THINGS to consider: 1) As much as it is difficult to do try to stay calm. 2) Record and document everything! 3) Do not invite the CPS inside your home without a court order. 4) Be careful what you say and how you say it. 5) Don't be naive and too trusting around CPS Investigators. 6) It is not mandatory to sign or consign to a case plan. 7) Say 'NO' to private interviews with your children when not present. 8) Always be on time and prepared for meetings. 9) Be proactive! 10) Don't be forced or bullied to comply with the state. A stern reminder, we are not attorneys and we are NOT offering legal advice. Please consider this as just a source. You should hire an attorney and have him or her discuss the best course of action to take and to go over these suggestions before doing any of them. We need volunteers who will join us to help keep our families in tact, while learning our rights and responsibilities and better ways of handling our situations.
