Steel Airmen pushed themselves to the limit during the Murph Challenge, honoring the legacy of Lt. Michael P. Murphy and the sacrifices made by service members who gave their lives in defense of the nation.

The workout, consisting of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats and another 1-mile run, tested participants’ physical and mental endurance while building camaraderie among Airmen.

The AFRC command chief came to Pittsburgh — and Steel Airmen showed up in force.

Chief Master Sgt. Israel Nuñez touched down at the 911th Airlift Wing on May 3 to meet with leadership and hear straight from the Airmen doing the work.

On the agenda: the future of the AGR program, the power of the NCO Corps, and real talk about the challenges Reserve Airmen face every day.

Before heading out, he recognized three Steel Airmen for their contributions to the mission.

Great seeing you Chief and safe travels.

Flying a Drone Near the Airport? Know the Rules to Avoid FAA Fines.

Our community is located in Class B airspace due to the nearby Pittsburgh Airport. The FAA has strict rules for flying drones in this area to ensure the safety of all aircraft. This goes beyond safety of the installation - this impacts the community we all share.

Before you fly your drone, you MUST have authorization. Unauthorized drone operators can face significant fines from the FAA.

Fly Safe & Legal:
1. Check Your Location: Use the FAA's official B4UFLY app to see airspace restrictions.
2. Get Authorization: You must get airspace authorization before flying in Class B airspace. The B4UFLY app can guide you through the process.
3. Follow the Rules: Always keep your drone within your visual line of sight and follow all FAA guidelines.
