Right now, our Necco Foster Care team in Corbin is facing a heartbreaking reality…

We do not have enough open beds to meet the needs of children coming into care.

That means there are children—right here in our community—who need a safe, stable, and loving home, and we are being forced to say no simply because we don’t have a family available.

💔 No child should have to wait for a place to feel safe.

We know many of our current foster families are already giving so much—and we are incredibly grateful for you. But we need your help again.

This event is completely FREE and open to everyone as we celebrate and appreciate all foster parents — regardless of agency. Whether you’re a current foster parent, interested in fostering, or just want to come out and enjoy the community, everyone is welcome!

Not all masterpieces are in museums 🧡

This artwork hangs in our office lobby and serves as a daily reminder of why we do what we do. Some days are hard-- for the foster parents & staff, but especially for the kids, who are dealing with difficult circumstances out of their control.

Aging out of the foster care system doesn't mean you should be out on your own! Most young adults have much more to learn about living life independently, not just foster youth. That's where our Independent Living (IL) program comes in!

The Necco Family - Part 3 - A Legacy of Care

Every legacy begins with a leap — and for the Necco family, it started with a young graduate, two parents ready to retire, and a shared belief that children deserved more than the system was offering. "A Legacy of Care" traces the early days of Necco’s creation, when Beau, Ed, and Dorothy pushed through bureaucratic walls, worked for years without income, and built a foster care agency from sheer determination and heart.

Through setbacks, risks, and countless closed doors, the Neccos refused to quit. Their grit led to groundbreaking outcomes — from dramatically reducing placement disruptions to redefining what true success in foster care looks like.

This final chapter reveals how a family’s perseverance became a movement, and how that movement became a legacy that continues to change lives across five states.

We’re proud to have had several members of our leadership, corporate, and Center teams attend the Rocky & Leah Adkins Cure for Cancer Golf Tournament. This event has been making a real difference in communities for 30 years! This year alone, nearly $200,000 was raised, contributing to an amazing $4 million over the past 3 decades!

All proceeds support the King’s Daughters Health Foundation, helping expand access to life-changing oncology services through UK King’s Daughters. We’re honored to stand alongside so many partners who are working to bring hope and care to those who need it most.

May the 4th be with you! The stories of Star Wars have many ties directly to the work we do here at Necco. This is incredibly meaningful to us, not only because we're huge fans, but because these stories have reached millions of families across the globe 🌎

Foster care shows up in the guidance Qui‑Gon gave Obi‑Wan, and Obi‑Wan later gave Anakin. They showed up by stepping in, believing in potential, and offering stability.
Kinship care lives in Luke Skywalker’s story, raised by his aunt and uncle who opened their home and gave him a foundation.
Adoption shines through in the bond between the Mandalorian and Grogu, by choosing to become family and protecting one another at all costs!

💛 Happy National Sibling Day 💛

Sibling bonds are some of the strongest, most meaningful connections a child can have. They share memories, comfort each other, and hold onto a sense of family—especially during difficult times.

In foster care, siblings are often separated due to a lack of available homes that can take them together. For many children, being apart from their siblings is one of the hardest parts of the journey.
