Today, some of our team had the honor of attending and supporting the “A Run to Remember” 5K in remembrance of the victims of the May 2025 Laurel County tornado.

Three of our amazing staff members participated in the run, proudly representing our agency and showing support for the individuals, families, and community members impacted by this tragedy.

Our team also hosted a booth during the event, where we were able to hand out bags and goodies, connect with community members, and share meaningful conversations throughout the evening. We are incredibly grateful for opportunities like this to stand alongside our community in both remembrance and healing.

We were so excited to have some of the guys from the Knox County, Ky Sheriff's Department visit us at the Corbin office today to give staff some tips on de-escalating difficult situations. They did an awesome job, and answered all of the questions staff had. It was a very beneficial training for our office and we hope they’ll come back out soon. 💙

In April alone, we’ve received referrals for 281 children in Kentucky who need a safe place to call home.

We were able to say yes to 34 of those children, and that matters.

But that also means 247 children didn’t have a home available when they needed one. 🥀

The reason is simple:
We need more foster homes.

We need people willing to step in and make a difference for youth with therapeutic needs. These are kids who need patience, stability, and someone who won’t give up on them. 🌷

In March, more than 400 children were referred into foster care; many experiencing this for the first time in their lives. We were able to say “yes” to some… but not nearly enough.
