Today, we continued our fire prevention safety and education initiatives with a group of students. We appreciate the opportunity to engage with both faculty and students during this important session.

As a reminder: Please prioritize home safety, pay particular attention to kitchen safety, implement fire prevention measures in the workplace, and commit to ongoing education for yourself and others.

Fire safety education plays a crucial role in reducing fire-related incidents and fatalities. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your local fire station for further information. Stay safe!

As an officer you ARE an instructor. I’ve heard officers try to skirt that responsibility. Once you accept any promotion, you are a teacher and are obligated to pass on information in a meaningful way. That requires you to be a perpetual learner. You have no right to stop or feel that you’ve learned enough. You have an obligation to your members and their families to continuously learn, study, research and practice in order to ensure they are well equipped and proficient.

To be effective as an officer and as a leader, you MUST be a continuous learner. Never stop!

Like a Good Neighbor State Farm is there!!!
Thank you State Farm and the National Volunteer Fire Council. With the funds that were awarded from the Good Neighbor Grant, we were able to purchase 3 sets of structural firefighting gear and several new hand tools. From all of us at the WOODBINE FIRE & RESCUE We Thank You.
