Absolutely unacceptable. Season’s Restaurant works tirelessly to ensure their business embodies the core values of Corbin.

They spend countless hours volunteering to help beautify Corbin beyond their property on Main Street.

Last night, Thursday, May 21st, their property was vandalized.

Corbin Police Department is currently investigating and reviewing camera footage. If you were involved in this vandalism, this is your opportunity to make things right. Please contact Corbin Police Department and ask to speak with Patrolman Patrick.

Foot pursuit results in drug trafficking arrest:

On May 20, 2026, Corporal Chris Brown observed Joshua Gambrel seated in the driver’s seat of a Lexus LS460 sedan in the parking lot of The Mint Cumberland Run. Corporal Brown was aware that Gambrel had multiple outstanding warrants and attempted to make contact with him.

Upon seeing Corporal Brown exit his patrol vehicle, Gambrel quickly exited the Lexus and began backing away from the officer while ignoring commands to return to the vehicle. Gambrel then fled on foot behind The Mint. Following a brief foot pursuit, Corporal Brown was able to take Gambrel into custody without further incident.

During a search of Gambrel’s person, Corporal Brown located a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine. Based on the narcotics discovered, officers conducted a search of Gambrel’s vehicle and located a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, a bag containing ma*****na, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, Gambrel was charged with:

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – 1st Degree, 2nd Offense >or=2gms methamphetamine); Possession of Ma*****na; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Public Intoxication

Additionally, Gambrel was served with the following outstanding warrants:

•Knox County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court related to a Drug Court violation
•Knox County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Non-Payment of Fines
•Laurel County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Probation Violation stemming from charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – 1st Degree, 1st Offense >or=2gms methamphetamine ).
Gambrel was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

Today marks one year since the devastating tornadoes that tore through London and Laurel County on May 16, 2025.

We remember the 17 lives that were tragically lost that night, the families forever changed, and the countless first responders and neighbors who came together in the aftermath.

We especially honor Major Les Leatherman of the Laurel County Fire Department, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while serving and protecting his community. His bravery and dedication will never be forgotten.

Please continue to keep all affected families, friends, and first responders in your thoughts and prayers today.

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, Corporal Chris Brown conducted a traffic stop in North Corbin off U.S. 25E. During the stop, one of the occupants was identified as a wanted fugitive through the United States Marshals Service.

During the investigation, Corporal Brown located approximately 113 grams of suspected methamphetamine, which is equivalent to approximately 1/4 of a pound.

The individual’s name is being withheld at this time pending further investigation.

Corbin Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating Dustin Gilreath, age 37.

He is suspected of stealing a 2016 white BMW 320i from Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin earlier today and may have ties to McCreary County.

Subsequent Search Warrants results in numerous drug/theft arrests:

On April 24,2026 Officers with the Corbin Police Department along with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department assisted the United States Marshals Service in serving a federal arrest warrant on a female known to be at a residence on Incline Road in Corbin.

While at the residence, officers obtained knowledge of illegal drug activity inside the residence. Based upon the information received, officers applied for, and were granted a search warrant for the residence. Upon ex*****on of the search warrant officers located a larger quantity of methamphetamine, ma*****na, narcotic pills, L*D, and various items of drug paraphernalia.

Following the ex*****on of the search warrant, on the early morning of March 25, 2026, Sergeant Will Stewart responded to a residential burglary complaint. While conducting an investigation, it was determined that two male subjects had entered an unoccupied residence and had stolen numerous belongings from the home. Sgt. Stewart was able to obtain video surveillance footage of the incident, and positively identify the operator and vehicle to be that of the same residence from Incline Road. Sgt. Stewart responded to the residence on Incline Road and located the vehicle along with the male operator standing in the driveway. Sgt. Stewart observed the male to be holding stolen property from the burglarized residence in his hands, where he attempted to discard it underneath the vehicle.

Based upon the new information obtained, officers obtained and executed an additional search warrant on the residence. Following the 2nd search, officers recovered additional methamphetamine, along with a stolen handgun, and a large quantity of stolen property from the burglary.

The individuals arrested were:
•Nikhil Parlulekar - charged with Burglary - 1st degree, possession of a handgun by convicted felon; tbut or disp - firearm; possession of a controlled substance - 1st degree methamphetamine; possession of ma*****na; illegal possession of legend drug;and drug paraphernalia.
•Nicholas Hammond - charged with Burglary - 1st degree; possession of a handgun by convicted felon; tbut or disp - firearm; possession of a controlled substance - 1st degree methamphetamine; possession of ma*****na; and drug paraphernalia.
•Scarlett Wyatt - charged with Trafficking in a controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (>2gms methamphetamine); possession of a controlled substance 1st degree - L*D; possession of ma*****na; illegal possession of legend drug; prescription cont substance not in proper container; and possession of drug paraphernalia
•Wesley Croley - charged with trafficking in a controlled substance,1st degree, 2nd or > - (> or = 2gms methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia.
•Victoria Day - executed with a federal arrest warrant by the United States Marshals Service. Also charged with - trafficking in cont substance 1st degree, 1st degree, (> or = 2gms methamphetamine); poss of ma*****na; illegal possession of legend drug; possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, L*D; prescription cont substance not in proper container; and drug paraphernalia.
Day was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center. The remaining arrested were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.

Assisting at the scene were case officer Corporal Chris Brown, case officer Sergeant William Stewart, Patrolman Jarrett Carr, WCSO Deputy Franklin Foster, and the United States Marshals Service.
