🎉💦 TODAY IS THE DAY, CORDOVA! 💦🎉

After a long road, the Bob Korn Memorial Swimming Pool is OPENING, and today we finally get to celebrate together!

Please join us for a FREE Pool Party from 2–5 PM! Take a dip, hang out in the lobby, and enjoy some delicious cake from Gitt Sugar Wasted.

You don’t have to swim to join the celebration! Stop by the lobby for some cake, visit with friends, and share your favorite pool memories with us. If you are swimming, come hang out before or after your time in the water, too! We love hearing stories about the pool and the history and memories this building holds for generations of Cordovans.

Most of all, thank you, Cordova. Thank you for your patience, encouragement, support, and trust throughout this journey. There were plenty of challenges along the way, and being able to open these doors again and welcome our community back means more to us than we can say.

Because we are hoping for a BIG celebration, we ask that swimmers limit their swim time to one hour or less, so everyone has a chance to get in the water. We will also have a 50-person limit in the pool at a time so our lifeguards can keep everyone safe.

Today is about more than reopening a pool. It’s about celebrating the memories already made here, the people who helped us get to this day, and all the new memories still to come.

We made it, Cordova. Come celebrate with us! 💦🎉

Cordova, we are getting SO CLOSE!

Thanks to your incredible support, we have raised $13,344 since the announcement of our $20,000 Cordova Community Foundation match!

That means we have just $6,656 LEFT TO GO!

And here’s the best part: every dollar donated toward the match is DOUBLED!

💵 $10 becomes $20
💵 $50 becomes $100
💵 $100 becomes $200
💵 $500 becomes $1,000!

We are more than two-thirds of the way there, and every donation big or small moves us closer to making the new Skaters' Cabin a reality.

🎣 Great News! 🎣

We are pleased to announce that the second fish cleaning station at Fleming Spit (Orca Road) is officially back up and running after sustaining damage during a storm.

A huge thank you to our dedicated maintenance team for their hard work and commitment to getting this important community resource repaired and operational again. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

We would also like to thank our residents, visitors, and the entire community for your patience and understanding while the repairs were completed.

We are excited to have this popular facility available once again for everyone to enjoy. Happy fishing!

Bidarki Recreation Center will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

Member Access: The members-only access door will remain available from 3:00 AM–9:00 PM.

Our office will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

CORDOVA… WE’RE REOPENING THE POOL!

It’s been a long road, and we are SO excited to finally say it: the Bob Korn Memorial Swimming Pool is reopening!

There are so many people to thank for helping us get here, but we especially want to give a huge THANK YOU to our community. Thank you for your patience, your support, and for trusting our team throughout this long process. We know how much this pool means to Cordova, and we can’t wait to see it full of life again!

Join us for a FREE Community Pool Party on September 12 from 2–5 PM! Regular pool hours will begin September 14.

Here is your September Pool Schedule!

We have worked hard to create a schedule that is safe, sustainable, and within what our current budget can support,which is significantly less than in previous years. We have prioritized providing time for our school swim program, swim team, lap swimming, and recreational swimming.

At this time, our staffing and budget will not allow us to offer weekend hours or birthday party rentals. We would love to bring all of those opportunities back, that is absolutely the dream, but right now, it simply isn’t possible within the resources we have available.

Please bear with us as we navigate this new chapter. We will continue to evaluate the schedule, listen to our community, and make adjustments where we can.

For now, we are incredibly grateful to be opening the doors and welcoming Cordova back to the pool.

What a weekend!

We just wrapped up a marathon weekend of lifeguard training, and seeing guards back on the pool deck was a pretty special reminder that we are finally starting the next chapter at the Bob Korn Memorial Swimming Pool!

A huge thank you to Lavenders Lifesaving Certifications for making the trip to Cordova to train our crew, which allowed our Director, Samantha, to jump in and lifeguard for the class.

And a big thank you to everyone who gave up a beautiful Cordova weekend to spend some very long days becoming lifeguards! We appreciate the time, hard work, and commitment you put in to help get our pool ready to reopen.

Don’t forget! POOL PARTY September 12th from 2:00–5:00 PM!
We can’t wait to see you back to the coolest pool in town!

Ski Hill Gutbuster 2026!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and participated in this year’s Ski Hill Gutbuster! With over 50 participants, it was an incredible day filled with grit, determination, and plenty of fun.

Congratulations to all our finishers! 👏 You challenged yourselves, pushed hard, and made this year’s race one to remember!
