🐾 Another great day of K9 training! 🐾

Beautiful (and hot) weather, great teammates, happy dogs, and plenty of good work today! Our canine team put in the miles, worked through some challenging scenarios, and continued building the skills we rely on when the call comes in.

It was a great evening at the Georgetown Police Department's National Night Out! We had a wonderful time meeting members of our community, talking about search and rescue, and answering questions about what we do.

Our K9s were the real stars of the night, getting lots of pets, smiles, and attention! 🐾

Thank you to the Georgetown Police Department for inviting us, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We always enjoy sharing our mission with the community!

Searches don't wait for daylight. We can be called out as the sun is setting, in the middle of the night, or in the early morning hours.

That's why it's so important for both our K9s and handlers to train in the dark. Working at night presents unique challenges, from limited visibility to navigating difficult terrain, and the only way to be prepared is to practice in those conditions.

Every training helps build confidence, improve communication between handler and K9, and ensures we're ready to respond no matter what time the call comes.

Yesterday, a couple of our K9s had the opportunity to spend the day with the Critter Campers at the Brandywine SPCA in Georgetown!

Dolce and Luca helped introduce the campers to the world of Search and Rescue, sharing what our K9 teams do to help locate missing people. The campers even got to watch Dolce put her nose to work during a live demonstration as she searched for one of the counselors—she didn't disappoint! 🐾

Meanwhile, Luca took on the very important job of soaking up all the love and pets from everyone. ❤️

Another great day of K9 training with the team! It was a beautiful day filled with plenty of challenges that helped both our handlers and dogs continue building their skills.

We missed getting photos of our Labrador team members today, but they all did an outstanding job as well!

We also had a new addition to today's training. Welcome, Maverick! Mav is a rescued 8 month Belgian Malinois who is hoping to follow in his now big brother Riot's footsteps as a search dog. Once he has a solid foundation under him, we're excited to watch him grow into his own and see where his journey on the team takes him.
