Who remembers last summer's mystery reader and his fabulous reading of Don't Trust Fish? Since Mr. Stringham's identity is no longer a secret, he's coming back this time with Graham Cracker. Graham Cracker is a certified therapy dog and will be our special guest at this week's Story Hour (Wednesday, 8/26 @ 10:30 am). Come meet Graham, listen to some stories, and learn all about therapy dogs! 🐾📚

A busy first half of the week! Join us Monday at the Farmers Market for Community Day. Jan from Rooted In Joy Farm will be with us from 5:00 - 7:00 pm (or while supplies last) with flowers to make beautiful bouquets. 💐 Tuesday morning, we are back at CHP to welcome the Buffalo Audubon Society at 11:00 am for Cold Blooded Critters. 🐢🐍 Ambassador animals will be present!

Construction update: prep work for the installation of the v***r barrier is nearing completion and work on a new ramp should start soon! Unfortunately, our date for re-opening has been pushed back until at least mid September. We apologize for the inconvenience! While we know that this news is disappointing, this project ensures that the library will be able to serve the community for many years to come. In the meantime, remember that you can use your Corfu library card at any Nioga library (or sign up for a card through Buffalo Erie County Library- they're free!) as well as utilize digital resources available through Libby and Hoopla. Story Hour will continue at CHP throughout the month of August and come visit us August 17th at the Corfu Farmers Market for Community Day. 💞

What a day last week! Thank you so much to WNY Tiny Petting Zoo for your visit. We had a fantastic time being able to learn and interact with your impressively obliging animals (there were lots of tiny hands going in for pets!). Last week's Story Hour featured fun stories, face paint, and a story walk. This Wednesday, we will be hosting a special guest, WNY Tiny Petting Zoo! Come visit us at CHP for the opportunity to meet some duck and bunny friends. Please note that this will not be a traditional Story Hour with stories starting at 10:30. The zoo will be here for a one hour visit starting at 10:30. We will have some picture books on the blanket if you'd like to read a story. 🐇🦆📚🔆

📢 Attention Story Hour friends! We are changing locations for the summer to Corfu Homestead Park (81 East Main) starting Wednesday, July 1st. Bring a blanket and meet us under the tent Wednesdays at 10:30. Any cancellations due to weather (pouring rain, thunder, or lightning ⛈ ) will be posted here by 9:45 am.
