Please join us in welcoming our three newest recruits Jayden Eck, Nick Call, and Taylor Biggie as they head to the Fire Academy in Utica.

They will spend the next 15 weeks in intense training before returning to the city to complete orientation and join their respective platoons.

Tonight we had joint auto extraction training with Pembroke Volunteer Fire Co. Inc. Thank you to Dadswell's Service for providing the space and vehicles. Afterwards we all enjoyed some pizza and wings back at the Pembroke station

Our Board of Directors has recently approved a comprehensive overhaul of our employee pay scale, with the new rates taking effect five months ahead of schedule on August 3, 2026.

This new pay structure applies to both our current employees and future hires, rewarding experience, longevity, and professional growth while helping ensure LeRoy Ambulance Service remains a competitive place to build a career. It's an investment in the people who make our mission possible every day.

For our community, this is another important step toward strengthening our workforce and ensuring LeRoy Ambulance Service remains a stable, well-staffed, high-performing 911 provider for years to come. We believe that outstanding patient care begins with recruiting, retaining, and supporting outstanding clinicians.

While this announcement benefits every member of our team, we're currently recruiting one full-time paramedic, so today's hiring poster highlights the paramedic portion of our new pay scale.
