The following students were chosen for Rebel of the Month for the month of August 2026. Students from each grade level are chosen by teachers. August’s character trait was responsibility. Students were treated to a pizza lunch provided by The Torch. They also received a special Rebels of the Month t-shirt. Pictured from left to right are: (front row) Jayda Dooley (sixth grade), Sadie Segars (eighth grade), (back row) Ramon Ramirez (sixth grade), Reyes Guzman (seventh grade), and Kaden Strange (eighth grade). Last Friday, Scott Wood from the Georgia Tech Research Institute visited the 6th-grade science classes to discuss the distances of the planets and scale. He then conducted an experiment for the students that demonstrated the vacuum of space. Super Cool!
