Dear Boosters,
Maria started this email and wrote that I could add what I needed to keep you all informed about Monday's Booster meeting. First off, we will be dining on enchiladas from El Torritos in Forest Grove. We aren't going to order the rice or beans for side dishes. Many of us are still recovering from Thanksgiving and trying to prepare for Christmas, so we'll have a garden salad as a side. I am, however, bringing plenty of Blonde Brownies for dessert.
On Monday, December 8th, at noon in the library, we will be welcoming a speaker from the Washington County Department of Housing Services. Their team will be presenting a high-level overview of the department's work over the past year, including updates on shelter operations, supportive services, and broader housing initiatives across the county. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the work happening in our community and to ask any questions you may have.
I also want to remind everyone that the tree lighting at Veterans Park and visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus will begin at 6 P.M.on December 5th. The evening's events will move with a walk to the new elementary building, where there will be musical presentations by students, hot chocolate, and cookies for all. The Boosters will serve the cookies, and the Youth Advisory Council will serve the hot chocolate donated by Dutch Brothers. Booster will have another table with information about our group on it. The donation box will be by the cookies, in case someone wishes to donate. One of the most popular events is the opportunity to use your own phone/camera to take pictures with Mr. & Mrs.Claus. The Boosters have again donated all of the candy canes.
This will be our only meeting this month, so we'll see you on Jan.12, 2026, where Jeff will bring dessert, and Peter is scheduled to speak.
