Cornelius Booster Club

Cornelius Booster Club Lunch Meetings are the second and fourth Monday of the month.

05/08/2026

Dear Boosters,

I wanted to remind everyone that on Monday, May 11, at noon in the Cornelius City library, the Boosters will hold their final meeting of the year. At this banquet, we will introduce our two scholarship winners from Forest Grove High School and our new EMT scholarship winner. We'll name the member of the year and hold elections for officers.

We must have a quorum for the election to take place, so I hope to see you on Monday.

The last meeting of the year will be held on May 11.

See you there.

Dear Boosters,

We are going to meet at noon on Monday, March 9th, at the city library. We are scheduled to have the Washington Co. Sheriff, Caprice Massey, speaking to us. I don't remember having Panda Express in a while, so I hope everyone's agreeable to having broccoli beef or orange chicken, fried rice, and chow mein. Midge is signed up for desserts.

Dear Boosters,

We are going to meet at noon in The Walter's Room of the city library on Monday, February 23, to hear Chaplain Joel Peterson and Chaplain Kay Wing speak. I'll pick up Subway sandwiches, and chips. Sharon is signed up for dessert. So if someone could sign up for a salad and let me know.

We are meeting again on Monday, 02/ 09 /2026, in the library at noon. Norby is making his delicious Jumbalya for us to feast on, and we have Barbara Fryer as a guest speaker. We have some fantastic news regarding buying the Old Elementary building.

Dear Boosters,

We are meeting at noon on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Walter's room in the city library. For lunch, the Board decided to have a baked potato bar. If you want to bring something to share that hasn't been spoken for, feel free.
So far we have: Cheese being brought by Carol potatoes & bacon bits being brought by Leola
Sour cream ................... Klona butter......................................................Nancy
Drinks.............................Donna garden salad

Klona, rather than bringing a dozen baked potatoes, could you bring 15 because we have the Fire Chief and the winner of our E.M.T. Scholarship joining us.

Dear Boosters,

Now that the holidays are winding down, it's time for the Boosters to meet again, which we'll do on Monday, January 12th, at noon in Walter's room of the library. We will be serving freshly fried chicken, homemade potato salad (some with onions and some without), and Cole Slaw. For dessert, blond or chocolate fudge brownies.
See ya Monday,

12/28/2025

Dear Boosters,

I hope you all survived the Christmas Holiday well. Nancy and I are planning a New Year's Day Breakfast Party from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, the first day of the new year. We'll have pancakes, waffles for Maria, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Coffee, cocoa, and juice will be available, or bring your own special beverage. This will be a time to socialize and contemplate the New Year. The Orange Bowl will be on, and we can cheer Oregon to victory! Stay a little or stay a lot, we'll be glad to see you.
Jeff and Nancy Arp

P.S. If possible, let us know if you can make it even just a little while.

Dear Boosters,
Maria started this email and wrote that I could add what I needed to keep you all informed about Monday's Booster meeting. First off, we will be dining on enchiladas from El Torritos in Forest Grove. We aren't going to order the rice or beans for side dishes. Many of us are still recovering from Thanksgiving and trying to prepare for Christmas, so we'll have a garden salad as a side. I am, however, bringing plenty of Blonde Brownies for dessert.
On Monday, December 8th, at noon in the library, we will be welcoming a speaker from the Washington County Department of Housing Services. Their team will be presenting a high-level overview of the department's work over the past year, including updates on shelter operations, supportive services, and broader housing initiatives across the county. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the work happening in our community and to ask any questions you may have.
I also want to remind everyone that the tree lighting at Veterans Park and visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus will begin at 6 P.M.on December 5th. The evening's events will move with a walk to the new elementary building, where there will be musical presentations by students, hot chocolate, and cookies for all. The Boosters will serve the cookies, and the Youth Advisory Council will serve the hot chocolate donated by Dutch Brothers. Booster will have another table with information about our group on it. The donation box will be by the cookies, in case someone wishes to donate. One of the most popular events is the opportunity to use your own phone/camera to take pictures with Mr. & Mrs.Claus. The Boosters have again donated all of the candy canes.
This will be our only meeting this month, so we'll see you on Jan.12, 2026, where Jeff will bring dessert, and Peter is scheduled to speak.

11/24/2025

Dear Boosters,

This reminder is a little late, and I apologize. We have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow in the library at noon. We will not have a guest speaker, but will have a ham and potatoes meal provided by Norby. He is also scheduled to bring dessert.
