As a Fire Fighter II, you will:
• Respond to wildland, rural, and structural fires
• Operate hoses, ladders, and firefighting equipment

• Complete reports and documentation
• When assigned as a paramedic, provide advanced emergency medical care

Please see attached news release. Burn suspension currently in effect will be lifted at 8 AM on Monday, October 13, 2025. Burn permits will be required. Residents will need to call their respective Air Pollution Control District to inquire if it is a permissive burn day prior to igniting their burn piles. Burn permits can be obtained at:

We are profoundly saddened by the horrific ambush on firefighters responding to a wildfire near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on June 29, 2025.

This senseless act is a devastating reminder of the dangers our first responders face every day. We stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the fire service community. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Stop by the Rancho Tehama Mercantile at the front of the ranch this week from 1pm- 6pm. We still have free Halloween costumes for kids. Limited quantities and sizes. Come on down and check out what we have. Thank you to Liz at the Rancho Tehama Elementary School for hooking the station up with this awesome donation. Don't ask what we have, we don't really know.
