The 2024 NYSDEC Municipal ZEV Infrastructure Grant is now open! The Municipal ZEV Infrastructure Grant program provides grants to cities, towns, villages, and counties to install hydrogen fuel filling station components and Level 2 (L2) and direct current fast charge (DCFC) electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) primarily for public use. Eligible expenses include equipment, supplies, materials, installation costs, electricity, and site preparation costs. Electric utility installations or upgrades before the location’s electrical panel are eligible if the upgrade is intended solely to support the installation of the EVSE or upgrade to additional or higher capacity EVSE. A match of 0 to 20 percent of the total project cost must be provided as local match based, in part, on the median household income of the municipality. See the RFA for details.

Applications will be accepted through 4:00 PM on February 28th, 2025. Please contact STC if you would like more information or assistance!

Public and Stakeholder Action Item Survey is now available. We need your feedback!

The next public and stakeholder input survey is now live on the Chemung County Planning Department website (link is below). This simple one question survey is asking the public and stakeholders to give input on the types of actions they would like to see our municipalities and the county take for future mitigation projects and planning.

As Chemung County continues to guide the Update of the Chemung County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update, we are requesting input from residents, partners, and stakeholders on ideas for Natural Hazard Mitigation Action Items.
