Yesterday our fifth graders at West Street Elementary said goodbye to elementary school and hello to middle school with a joyful student parade. Last night we celebrated our incredible Maywood DaVinci 8th graders as they graduated and take their next exciting step — high school, here they come! 🎓✨

Welcome remarks by Principal Jennifer Scovel, with 8th‑grade Mistress of Ceremonies Camila Coria Damian.
The Pledge of Allegiance led by Faustino Nieto followed by inspiring student speeches from Gisselle Covarrubias, Allison Seipel, and Kimberly Castaneda Medina.

We recognized students for perfect attendance and subject excellence, then proudly handed out diplomas. A huge thank you to our friends and family for joining the celebration — your support made the night unforgettable!

Corning Union Elementary School District is excited to offer free breakfast and lunch for all children ages 1–18 this summer. No application or registration is required, and menu items will vary. All meals are served with fruit, veggies, and milk.
