Last week, we welcomed several special guests to our school cafeterias as we celebrated School Lunch Week!

Thank you to the families and guest servers who joined us to highlight the importance of healthy school lunches in every student’s health, well-being, and academic success.

At CUESD, our school cafeterias serve healthy, well-balanced meals that help students get the nutrition they need to succeed at school. School meals include milk, fruits and vegetables, protein, and grains, and meet strict limits for saturated fat and portion sizes. We also offer locally grown fruit when available and strive to provide students with healthier, tastier choices.

A special thank-you to our Nutritional Services team for keeping our students fed and ready to learn!

🎉🏐⚽ Friday was a blast at Maywood DaVinci as we celebrated our annual Fall Sports Rally! Our amazing Maywood volleyball and soccer teams showed off their skills and school spirit. The highlight? It’s National School Lunch Week! 🍎🥪 This week celebrates the vital role school meals play in supporting students’ health, well-being, and academic success across America.

Yesterday, the Corning Police Department visited Rancho Tehama and helped serve lunch to students. Thank you, Corning PD, for being part of the celebration and helping highlight the importance of daily nutrition in our students’ success!

At Woodson Elementary School, students in TK–3rd and 4th–6th grade earn points each day for respectful cafeteria behavior! At the end of the week, the class with the most points in each group wins a treat—and the top 4th–6th grade class also gets to enjoy lunch at the outdoor picnic tables.

Last week, Mrs. Vacarro’s 1st-grade class and Mrs. Jones’ 6th-grade class were our winners! The first graders celebrated with popsicles. 🍧

Way to go, everyone! Keep showing kindness and respect in the cafeteria!
