Peanut farmers, consultants and other agriculture industry professionals are invited to the 2026 peanut field day on Aug. 5 at the Jackson County Extension Center in Newport, Arkansas.

Registration will begin at 4:00 p.m., and a facility tour will begin at 4:20 p.m. Registration is free, and attendees will be served dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Among the topics slated for discussion are managing a failed inoculation, the use of growth regulators, w**d control programs, disease management and insect concerns and control.

Congratulations to Blake Goodman of Clay County!

Blake is one of three new members to join the Arkansas 100 Bushel Club in 2025, hitting an impressive 102.366 bu/ac in the Grow for the Green Soybean Yield Challenge. Blake used Pioneer P47Z15BE seed, planted in mid-April, and credits timely irrigation and smart pest management for his record-breaking season.
