The Meta and John Spiegler Holocaust Remembrance Lecture returns to the CMOG Auditorium on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00, and once again the Library will participate in the program. This year's speaker, Dori Katz, will talk about her experiences as a child that lived through the Holocaust. Her presentation will be followed by a Q & A and light refreshments.
The Library will make available 40 free copies of a book recommended by Dr. Katz, Lola Lafon’s "When You Listen to This Song" and Card Carrying Books & Gifts will be selling additional copies of the book.
Since 2007, the Meta and John Spiegler Holocaust Remembrance committee has brought speakers to Corning, NY so that we will never forget the impact of the Holocaust and anti-semitism on ordinary people. Meta Spiegler wanted young people especially to learn the importance of respect and tolerance.
