Lost Creek Bog State Natural Area Located along Lake Superior in the Town of Bell, the Lost Creek Bog State Natural Area includes a rich wetland complex and Lake Superior estuary.

Located along Lake Superior in the Town of Bell, the Lost Creek Bog State Natural Area includes a rich wetland complex and Lake Superior estuary at the mouths of three small creeks (Lost Creeks 1, 2, and 3) where they empty into Siskiwit Bay. Shore fen, grading to open sedge bog, shrub swamp, and northern wet forest dominated by tamarack are the major habitats in the natural area. The site harbors

state listed endangered species as well as several rare species, migratory waterfowl and other birds. In 2009, the Conservancy purchased additional properties at Lost Creek and conveyed them to the DNR for annexation on to the Natural Area.
