The CVFD will host our annual open house next Sunday, October 20th from 11-2. We'll have cider, donuts, and popcorn and adults and kids are welcome to tour the station, check out our trucks and meet the firefighters and EMTs. We will have membership applications on hand as well for anyone who is interested!

Our chicken BBQ is on tomorrow rain or shine! We will have indoor seating available or you can take your chicken dinner to go. Cost of dinner is $15. We will have free hot dogs available for the kids. Serving begins at noon until we run out!

Learn about the wide variety of volunteer roles with the CVFD
Saturday May 11 9AM- 1PM
Our community has an urgent need to fill the ranks of our department. Have you considered serving your community as a firefighter or EMT?

CVFD Fire and Medical crews answered 119 calls in our community last year. For Cornwall to maintain this vital community service, we need our neighbors to answer the call to serve.

CVFD members will be on hand through the morning to chat with anyone who is interested in learning more about our medical, fire, and community service roles. Come and find out more!

Would you like a ride in a fire truck?! We’ll take a spin around town to show you what it is like to ride in a fire truck! Space is limited for the rides, please email [email protected] to reserve a spot.

Please note, our family open house is in the fall, this event is geared towards adults who are interested in learning about becoming a member.

OPEN HOUSE CANCELLATION

Hi all - Due to forecasted weather conditions, this fall's open house was canceled. We'll likely host an event in the spring to make up for this.
A little late notification for this venue but we had some notes out in other places.

We'll be at the Cornwall Trunk or Treat at Champlain Valley Motorsports next Saturday - with trucks and treats for all!

We all look forward to future helicopter-related experiences - here's to more in the future!

The Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department will once again host its annual Chicken Barbecue at the Route 30 station on Sunday, June 11, from noon to 3 p.m (or we run out of chicken). Table seating and take-out will be available.
Half-chicken meals with salad and sides will be the main feature, but kids (and the young at heart) can enjoy free hot dogs while they last.
The volunteers will start the grills in the morning to slow cook the chicken while repeatedly basting it in the CVFD's secret sauce, so the end result is a flavorful, tender chicken that can't be beat.
Come check out the chicken, the trucks and meet your local firefighters on June11 at the station on Route 30.

It's been three years since our last Open House at the CVFD. Come and check out our new fire engine and the rest of our trucks! See the equipment! Ask your *burning* questions about the fire and emergency medical service!

We'll play host by a helicopter from a LIFENET medevac service and we'll be offering a fire extinguisher training experience that simulates using an ABC fire extinguisher on a controlled fire! Come and try it out!

Snacks and fire fighters on hand from 12-3PM on SUNDAY at 1952 Route 30 in Cornwall!
