🚧 Union Street: Closed to through traffic August 31–September 4

🚧 Robert Road: Closed to through traffic beginning September 8

Construction vehicles and equipment will occupy the travel lanes throughout the project. Please use extreme caution, follow the direction of construction personnel, and plan for possible delays.

Notice from West Point Public Affairs:

West Point Friends and Neighbors,

Be advised, area residents can expect to hear and see low flying aircraft and increased noise levels this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon as part of training activities conducted on the military installation.

Training is conducted to simulate the physical and mental challenges cadets will face when they become officers in the U.S. Army. Realistic training has inherent risks, and the safety and welfare of the entire West Point community is the academy’s top priority.

Noise levels will vary during the afternoon events. Residents may hear simulated explosions and small arms noise along with drones and helicopter activity.

Due to the forecasted thunderstorms on Thursday evening, the Pool Open House has been postponed. We will share a new date as soon as it is confirmed.

The Sanitation Department will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 for Labor Day. There will be no trash or recycling pickups. Trash pickup will resume as scheduled, Thursday September 10, 2026, for residents who normally have trash pickups on Monday and Thursday. Recycling will have to be held until the following week, Monday, September 14, 2026. Any questions or concerns please call the Highway Dept. @ 845.534.2171, I’m sorry for any inconvenience.
