Wishing all of our followers a happy New Year and steady waters ahead.

This season wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated lifeguards, the Outer Banks community, and everyone who supports beach safety. Thank you for trusting us and standing behind our team all summer long.

Happy Labor Day! Today is Corolla Beach Rescue's last day of the summer season, so we celebrated this morning with a team breakfast. Tomorrow we will start our first day of the fall guarding season. This means the stands we have on the beach will be reduced. From 09/02 till 10/13 we will have lifeguard stands at lighthouse beach access, Bonito St. in Whalehead, and our Bathhouse stand at the southern beach access in Corolla. We will also have guard on ATV's patrolling the beach throughout the day. In case of an emergency call 9-1-1 and ocean rescue will be paged out. Have a safe and fun fall y'all!! 🍂

This morning we took advantage of the large swell from Erin and did some training in the ocean! We hope for everyone to stay safe during this hurricane! Double Red flags are flying right now which means absolutely no water entry. For updates from Currituck County text "SAFECOROLLA" to 888-777

We are taking our stands down due to anticipated weather and swell! We're still out patrolling the beach on ATV's if you need help on the beach call 9-1-1!

Our double red flags are flying today! Double red flags mean that swimming is in violation of Currituck County ordinances. Violation of this ordinance can result in legal consequences. The ocean conditions are extremely hazardous and it is too dangerous for anyone to swim. No swimming, wading, or use of flotation devices is allowed. We have these rules in place to keep everyone safe, please abide by them. Respect the lifeguards' warnings and the ocean's power!
