Naval Base Coronado Ombudsman Welcome to the Naval Base Coronado Ombudsman page. This page is for the families of Sailors who are stationed at Naval Base Coronado.

An Ombudsman is an official representative of the Commanding Officer and plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining current and accurate communication between the command and its family members. Ombudsmen are trained to disseminate information — official Department of the Navy (DoN) and command information, command-climate issues and local community opportunities. They also provide resource referrals and are instrumental in resolving family issues before they require the command’s attention. Navy instruction requires ombudsman to report:
– All suspected/known child abuse/neglect.
– Alleged spouse abuse.
– Suspected/potential homicides, violence or life endangering situations. – All suspected/potential suicidal risks.
