Today, the City of Coronado officially commissioned our new Rosenbauer RTX electric fire engine into service.

We were proud to mark this milestone with community members, partners, and City leaders. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all those whose efforts made this event and investment in public safety possible.

With the RTX now in service, we look forward to continuing to deliver the highest level of emergency response and care to Coronado residents and visitors.

The City of Coronado is proud to host a commissioning ceremony for our new Rosenbauer RTX electric fire engine on Wednesday, June 10, at 9 a.m. at the Fire Department Headquarters (1001 Sixth Street).

This exciting addition to our emergency response fleet represents the next generation of public safety technology and the community is invited to celebrate with us!

We kicked off the Free Summer Shuttle season yesterday in partnership with MTS and Discover Coronado!

Now running daily through September 7, the shuttle operates from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM every 20 minutes along the Village route, providing convenient, fare-free transportation.

Expanded service will be provided during NASCAR race weekend, and special service to the Cays will operate on July 4 from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM.

As we observe Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Please note the following City facility closures and service impacts in observance of the holiday on Monday, May 25.

🔴 City Hall, the Public Library, and all Recreation facilities will be closed for the day.

🔴The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facility located at 101 B Ave will also be closed on Saturday, May 23, and will reopen on Saturday, June 13. Residents are kindly asked not to leave hazardous waste outside the facility gates during the closure.

🔴Residential trash and recycling collection services will be delayed by one day throughout the week following the holiday.

Thank you for your understanding, and we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.
