Our Deputies have a serious job to do. Often we deal with adults in despair and low points in their life. The children often “feel” the heaviness. Here at Pct 2 we try and mitigate that.

If you’re heading eastbound on 358 right before the Causeway a car is upside down. Traffic is gonna get really really backed up. EMS and police are on site now. I don’t know if anyone is hurt. I pray everybody’s OK.

We had Deputies out and about first thing in the Bluff. As this first week of school progresses we will be all over various area schools. In whole traffic was heavy but people remained calm and patient. Thank you.

As we here in S.Texas and across the US start another school year. I would like to remind everyone to pay attention a little bit more as we get used to school zone patterns and schedules. Various campuses throughout Nueces county will have new traffic patterns and adjustments to try and help traffic congestion during this new year. Remember using a cell phone while driving distracts you and may lead to an accident. It is also against the law in Texas unless it’s hands free. Be mindful at crosswalks and obey commands from LE and crossing guards. Please expect traffic congestion and delays as we “go back” to school. Have a great and safe school year.
