North Beach Community Association

North Beach Community Association NBCA is a non-profit organization of property owners and business owners on historical North Beach

Our projects involve making improvements to the neighborhood in the way of donations and clean ups. Our past projects include:
- "Bring Back the Boarwalk" campaign in 1991 that raised money for the first phase of building what is now a 1-mile-long beachfront sidewalk called the "Corpus Christi Beachwalk." Phase 3 was completed in 2012.
- Dolphin Park - NBCA officially renamed the area on the north

end of the beach "Dolphin Park," secured funding from Kaboom and Rebuild Texas for playground equipment, encouraged the city to use parks enrichment funding to buy concrete dolphin sculptures, and have adopted the park through the City of CC's Adopt-A-Park program for the past several years.

About 20 6-foot-wide square culverts have been placed underneath Gulfspray Avenue where the street will cross over the new North Beach Linear Parkway Canal. Storm water will eventually fill the canal, which will flow northward and empty into the Timon Marsh in the North Beach Eco Park and then connect to Nueces Bay. Motorists will eventually be driving over the canal at 2 places: Gulfspray Ave and Beach Ave, the 2 east-west roads that are being reconstructed through Bond 2018. Both road projects cross the canal and include these vehicular bridges.

It rained and stormed all morning today but then the sun came out people are out enjoying the beach.
