Meet and Greet Cancelled!

Due to anticipated weather changes, the Meet and Greet for Calk-Wilson has been cancelled. Class rosters will be posted on the first day of school. For continued updates, please watch local news stations. We will update any additional news here and on the school website as soon as possible.

New Dress Code Info...

Back to School Dress for Success Shopping Tips...

There is a new store that has opened between Electric Tan and Dollar Tree in Gulfway Shopping Center on Airline. They currently have polo style shirts in an amazing variety of colors priced at 2/$12.
Walmart, Target and Academy also have a good selection that is reasonably priced.

As a reminder, please review the new Standardized Dress Code for Calk-Wilson Elementary School.

Dress like a Champion, Look like a Champion, BE a Champion!

Shirts: Any solid, any style shirt may be worn. Official school spirit shirts may be worn. Prohibited styles include tank tops, muscle shirts, halter tops, spaghetti straps and shirts that expose backs or midriffs.

Pants and Shorts: Any solid color pants or shorts are permitted. Baggy, or sagging or torn garments are prohibited. No spandex or leggings are allowed.

Shoes: Close toe and closed heel shoes must be worn for safety reasons. Shoes with wheels and steel toe are prohibited. Shoes may not have a raised heel.

Hair: Hair must be neat and clean. Prohibited hairsyles include: unconventional colors and hairstyles such as mohawks, spiked or designed shavings.

Calk-Wilson Elementary School is the consolidation of William Calk and Robert Wilson Elementary Schools. Calk-Wilson opened it’s doors in August 2017.

We need your help! We will be launching the Calk-Wilson WATCH D.O.G.S. program and need to know who is interested?

WATCH D.O.G.S. is a one-of-a-kind school-based, father involvement program that works to support education and safety.

Who are WatchDOGS?
Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator.

Please comment below if you or any other father figures you know would be interested in helping us get this program started and/or volunteering on the team...

Today the Robert Wilson PTA was officially dissolved in order to establish the new Calk-Wilson PTA. This has been an amazing year filled with priceless memories.

Full day PreK next year!

CCISD, in partnership with Head Start, will increase the number of schools offering full-day pre-k from 14 campuses to 24 campuses starting in the 2017-2018 school year.
