Good day on the water......here are two of the big fish for the day. Drum went 40" and over 30lbs+(didnt have a scale that went high enough) Redfish was 29" and 8.5lbs. Both fish were landed with a Phenix Rods X-10S Rod, Shimano Ci4+ 3000 Reel and 30lb Fins Windtamer Braid. Check out the X-10S at Roy's Bait and Tackle. It is one of the best all around spinning rods you can buy in my opinion. Sensitive enough to wade fish and work plastics (the Redfish) yet tough enough when you want to switch it up and fish bait on the bottom (the Drum).

Well the 2015 tournament and guide rods are in!!!!! Big thanks goes out to Roy's Bait & Tackle Outfitters and Phenix Rods for getting me set up with 6 Phenix X-10S/Stratic Ci4+ 3000 combos and 2 Phenix M1/Chronarch Ci4+ combos for the upcoming guide and tournament season!

Winter fishing trips are being ran out of a Sportsman Boats 247 Masters custom rigged with Garmin electronics, Powerpole and Yamaha Power by Premier Yamaha Boating Centers in Corpus Christi. The 247 Masters is one of the smoothest and driest riding bay boats in its class. It will get us to and from the fishing grounds safely and in comfort!!!!!

Half day trips are producing well for those who don't want to be out all day!!!! Afternoon trip one client with plastics!!! Largest red was 26.5" and largest trout was right at 20"!!!

Well the 2014-15 Waterfowl Season is officially over on the Texas Coast. Time to focus on fishing again. Drum are hot right now with plenty of bonus fish in the mix. Flounder, Reds, Drum and Trout all caught regularly over the last week of fishing.
