We will also have merchandise available for purchase and will be debuting a brand-new item — the “Making a Difference Supporting the Badge” blanket!

Vicente Ortiz Jr – End of Watch – June 1, 2024

Please take a moment and remember Senior Officer Vicente Ortiz Jr. Please keep Vince’s family in your thoughts and prayers, as today marks the two-year anniversary of his End of Watch. Vince was the 17th CCPD officer killed in the Line of Duty while serving and protecting the City of Corpus Christi. May God find peace for Vince, his family and the entire CCPD family during this difficult time.

On May 21, 2024, Senior Officer Ortiz was escorting a funeral procession on his police motorcycle and was struck by a vehicle. Senior Officer Ortiz was transported to a local hospital and passed away from his injuries ten days later.

Vince served the Corpus Christi Police Department for 15 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.
