We're proud to see Chief Kirby Warnke representing CCISD Police in Austin after being appointed to the HB 33-Uvalde Strong Act Working Group. While at the Capitol, Chief Warnke met with Representative McLaughlin, the sponsor of HB 33, and had the opportunity to visit with Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. CCISD Police is aware of an incident reported in the area of Metro E. At this time, it appears to be an isolated incident in the surrounding neighborhood.

All students and staff are safe, and there is no threat to our campus. Officers will continue to monitor the area out of an abundance of caution.

Today, CCISD Police partnered with CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline to teach Stop the Bleed to our Veterans Memorial VLC students. This hands-on training equips students with lifesaving skills. They learned how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, apply pressure, pack a wound, and use a tourniquet.
