CASA volunteers all around north Texas make a difference in the lives of children. Our Navarro County CASAs are doing that everyday. Join us!

This week, the Texas cancelled its contract with Empower, the foster care agency which managed care of kids in nine North Texas counties. It's a big deal for a lot of families. Kathleen Lavalle, the CEO of Dallas CASA, joined Good Day to break it down and explain what the change means.

CASA volunteers partner with caseworkers, attorneys, and judges to keep a child’s best interest at the center of every decision, even as the child welfare system changes. 👏 While roles may shift over time due to turnover or large caseloads – whether the legacy system or Community-Based Care, CASA volunteers remain a STEADY presence in a child's life and are there for every major milestone. This consistent advocacy supports a child's whole team.
