Corsicana came and showed out for Breakfast of Champions 2026! On August 21st, our community came together in a BIG way to support the youth of the Boys & Girls Club of Navarro County! Under this year’s theme, “Fueling Champions, One Goal at a Time,” the room was filled with supporters who believe in investing in our youth and their futures.

A special thank you to our CEO, Brian Slye, for sharing his inspiring story as a former Club kid.

To everyone who sponsored a table, attended, donated, volunteered, supported our youth, or simply showed up because you believe in our mission — THANK YOU! Corsicana, you truly came and showed out for our kids! We are beyond grateful for a community that continues to stand behind the Boys & Girls Club of Navarro County. We had such a great time today seeing so many new and returning club youth and families at the Back to School Rally! It was exciting to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones as we get ready for another amazing year at the Boys & Girls Club!

I want to take a moment to publicly recognize the Boys & Girls Club of Navarro County Summer Camp Team.

Summer camp isn't just games, field trips, and fun. It's early mornings, long days, endless planning, problem-solving, teaching, mentoring, comforting, encouraging, and showing up every single day with our youth at the center of everything we do. Thanks for your patience, flexibility, creativity, and commitment. Thank you for pouring into our youth, creating memories they'll never forget, and making our Club a place where every child feels safe, valued, and loved.

I am incredibly proud to serve alongside such a dedicated team. Take a moment to celebrate yourselves—you've earned it! Enjoy a well-deserved break before we welcome our after-school members back.

What a way to wrap up our 2026 BGC Summer Camp!
Our youth had an amazing time cooling off at the waterpark, making memories with friends and enjoying one last adventure together!

We also wrapped up Summer Camp with our Olympics/Field Day, where teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition were on full display.

To close out our ABC Countdown of Summer Camp, Z Day "Zoom Back to School" was the perfect ending! Every youth received a backpack to help them start the new school year prepared and ready to succeed.

Thank you to our families, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who helped make this summer one our youth will never forget. Here's to a safe, successful, and exciting 2026–2027 school year!

That's a wrap for July swimmers! A heartfelt THANK YOU to YMCA Corsicana for an incredible summer of swim lessons! Over the past several weeks, our Boys & Girls Club of Navarro County youth had the opportunity to build confidence, learn important water safety skills, and strengthen their swimming abilities—all thanks to your partnership and dedication.

Thank you to the instructors who invested their time, patience, and encouragement into each child. The skills our youth gained this summer will benefit them for years to come.

We truly value our partnership and are already looking forward to another great summer together next year!

THANK YOU to the Corsicana Public Library for an amazing summer filled with fun, educational, and engaging activities for our Navarro County youth to participate in!Thank you for investing and providing experiences that inspire curiosity, imagination, and a love for learning. We truly appreciate your partnership and look forward to many more opportunities to work together!

BGC youth especially loved the opportunity to experience the Perot Museum Tech Truck, where our youth had the chance to Tinker. Engineer. Create. Hack. Through hands-on, interactive activities, they explored STEM concepts, sparked their creativity, and discovered new ways to learn through play.

This week, we celebrated the completion of our Write To Thrive program! Throughout the summer, a group of our BGC youth dedicated their time to strengthening their writing skills, building confidence, and expressing their creativity through weekly lessons.
To celebrate all of their hard work, we traded paper and pencils for a day of fun at Dick's House of Sport! After weeks of learning and growing, our youth definitely earned the opportunity to relax, laugh, and make even more great memories together.

Special shout-out goes to our amazing Youth Development Professional, Mrs. April McJunkins who is also a Kerens ISD teacher, for investing in our youth each week. Your patience, encouragement, and passion for education made a lasting impact, and we are so grateful for the time and heart you poured into this program. You're the MVP!

Another amazing summer activity with our BGC youth through Corsicana Parks and Recreation Department!

Today's Home Depot Workshop was a huge success! Our youth had the opportunity to build, paint, and personalize their very own creations. It was incredible to watch their confidence grow as they followed directions, solved problems, and proudly showed off their finished projects. The creativity, smiles, and sense of accomplishment on their faces made today extra special.
