Cinco de Mayo is a time to celebrate culture, community, and connection here in Cortez. As you enjoy the festivities, the Cortez Police Department asks you to make one commitment that protects everyone on our roads: never drive impaired.

Whether you are celebrating with friends, attending local events, or enjoying a night out, plan a sober ride home. Use a designated driver, rideshare, taxi, or walk with a trusted friend.

Our community is working toward Vision Zero, which means zero traffic fatalities and zero serious bodily injuries. Every responsible choice behind the wheel brings us closer to that goal.
