Yesterday, the City of Cortland Police Department was represented by Officer Michael Maniaci and Officer Helena Trackey at the 2026 New York State Fair Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony.

The ceremony honored 17 law enforcement officers who passed away over the past year and recognized their service, dedication, and sacrifice.

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, today’s gathering also served as a powerful reminder of the courage, unity, and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across our state and nation.

We remember and honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
