All County offices are closed, tomorrow for Memorial Day. The County Clerk and DMV offices will open at 8:30am, Tuesday.

Have a DMV transaction that does not need to be done today? We encourage you to hold off and visit the DMV another day. We are quite busy, which is typical the Friday before Memorial Day weekend.

Memorial Day weekend is just a week away. The DMV is always very busy the Friday before. We are encouraging everyone to not wait until that Friday to do your transaction, for the weekend. If you have a transaction that is not time sensitive we suggest waiting to have it processed.

We are open 8:30am-4:15pm weekdays with the exception of Thursdays, we open at 9am.

Although these notices are legal, the fees associated are much more, than a copy in the office or online.

These letters typically are received after a property has been purchased or transferred.

Do not pay the fee in these notices.

Generally a copy of a Deed may be around $5.

Solicitation letters that look official are showing up in mailboxes across NY asking people to pay $100 for property records they often can get for free.

This issue has been resolved.

DMV Announcement - Friday, May 1st: At this time the software component required to process any vehicle, boat, motorcycle, etc. transactions is not working.

NYS is working to resolve the issue, but is unable to provide an estimated time.

Transactions in regards to identification documents can be processed.
