New York Guard Recruiting The mission of the New York Guard Recruiting is to recruit men & women with a desire to serve our state and community as members of the New York Guard.

New York Guard members are a volunteer, unpaid force which serves at the direction of the Governor. They assist the National Guard in planning, training for and executing state emergency support and disaster missions, and provide legal and medical pre-deployment assistance to the National Guard units and other reserve components as requested. The New York Guard emphasis on recruiting people with p

rior and no prior military service. Individuals will a desire to serve, and train to support of communities in case of state emergencies.
