Just took a tour of HQ Racing in Peekskill. This place is AWESOME!!!! A big thank you to Basil and Steve for showing us this great new local business and letting us take a spin on the go-karts. Another rainy Saturday couldn’t stop Cortlandt National Little League from kicking off its closing ceremony with the future stars first trip around the bases! Cortlandt Town Supervisor Dr. Richard Becker and I had a great time and congratulate the league on a successful season!

When our troops came home from serving their country in Vietnam they did not receive the hero’s welcome they deserved. Our society owes these men and women a debt of gratitude. Yesterday we made a small payment on that debt by commemorating Vietnam War Veterans Day.

For our town to have the best recreational facilities around - planning is key. Over the past few weeks, Councilwoman Joyce White and I joined town staff on site visits to provide input to our outside consultants who are preparing a Facilities Assessment Report on five of our major recreational sites. This tool will help us plan for future maintenance and upgrades. We aim to be proactive in our approach and not whack-a-mole problems as they pop up!
