This is what it’s all about!

Not only do we strive consistently to train our firefighters to be the best they can possibly be, but we care greatly about the camaraderie within our station walls day in and day out!

What better way to reinforce the family based, community driven atmosphere than inviting our own personal families in for a day of fun and food!

Check this out!

Not 1, not 2, 3, or even 4, but 5 firefighters representing our department at FDIC International—an opportunity to learn from the best, bring back new ideas, and continue strengthening the service we provide to our community.

We can’t wait to see the plethora of knowledge and ideas they bring home!

🔥Training for YOU!🔥

✅Here at CCFD we strive to be well trained, rounded professionals here to serve those in and about our community.

🚒Last night we spent 3 hours training and maintaining our knowledge on vehicle extrication. A great opportunity for all of our department to get hands on practice using the jaws of life to be prepared in case of emergency.

🪝A huge thank you to our friends at Gaffner Towing & Recovery for donating their services to bring a practice vehicle to our jurisdiction in order for us to stay in service while improving our skills!🪝

Our department tries to be very hands on with the Shiawassee County Fire Academy 2026. Our department is home to multiple instructors and an entire team who wants to see future firefighters succeed!

Students were able to all get reps of hands on vertical ventilation training this week! 🔥
Huge thank you to Owosso Home Depot for donating the lumber for this roof prop, and to the instructors from Ga***rd Firefighters’ Association for the specifics on building it! 🚒

Mother Nature did not take it easy on us!
Over the last couple of days, our community received much more rain than our waterways can handle. 🌧️

Let’s keep you and first responders safe!

• Stay away from riverbanks! 📷
Please keep a safe distance, especially with children and pets. The ground is saturated, and riverbanks can give way from any little vibration, without warning!

• Stay off the water! 🛶
Until the river has returned to its normal state, avoid all contact with the water. Not only could unannounced spills be present from up stream, but kayaks and canoes are much harder to stay afloat in these fast moving conditions!

A huge shoutout to our newly promoted department photographer, assistant chief Sarrazin for the eye in the sky!

The decision has been made, and it has finally arrived!

With the community airport nearby, brush fire season approaching, and generous A.I.R. assistance, we have officially received our new Wildland air tanker.

We would have loved to reveal this sooner, however our department spent nearly all day training on how to fly our new apparatus.

The aircraft was ordered on February 30th, and delivered on 04-01-2026.

On Wednesday March 18th at 1:00PM we will be activating our tornado siren during the statewide tornado drill. If severe weather is imminent we will not be conducting the drill.

Please take the time to review your emergency response plan with your family, friends, and neighbors!

A huge shoutout to our friends at Slh Metals for the use of their warm facilities! Our lead engine, engine 375 was in need of some much needed repairs.

SLH donated their shop space so our mechanic had a warm place to “flip the cab” and complete the work! Thank you SLH!

SLH has always played a vital role in keeping our wheels rolling and this is just a part of it!
