To everyone who joined us tonight for our first fish of the season, or even attempted to join us, we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU!
Tonight was a little more chaotic than we anticipated! Between unexpectedly having fryers stop working and cooking and selling our entire stock of fish MUCH faster than we ever imagined, we faced a few challenges that we certainly weren't expecting.
Unfortunately, that also meant we had to turn away several customers after running out of fish. Please know that turning away anyone who took the time to come support us in the absolute LAST thing we ever want to do. We sincerely apologize to those who waited in line and weren't able to get a meal tonight. But more than anything, we want to express just how incredibly thankful we are.
Thank you for waiting in those long lines. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your understanding and grace when things didn't go quite as planned. And most importantly, thank you for continuing to show up and support our little volunteer fire department.
Our fish fries are more than just serving a good meal. They're about community, tradition and the incredible people who continue to support us year after year. Tonight reminded us just how fortunate we are to have a community that shows up for us in such a BIG way. We don't take a single one of you for granted.
From all of us at the Corunna Volunteer Fire Department, THANK YOU for making our first fish fry of the season one we won't soon forget.
We will see you November 13th! Hopefully with cooperative fryers and LOTS more fish!
