Shiawassee Central Dispatch is the primary link between the public and the public safety responders for Shiawassee County. It is the responsibility of Central Dispatch to process both 911 and non-emergency calls, provide telephone assistance and emergency instruction prior to responders' arrival, send the appropriate response and communicate necessary information to police, fire, EMS and other res
cue responders. Shiawassee Central dispatch is staffed 24/7/365 by 2-3 dispatchers at a time. Central Dispatch takes in all calls, emergency and non-emergency, and dispatches all police, fire, and EMS agencies for the county.
