As students return to classes for the first day of Spring term, there is so much on our minds:

- We continue to mourn for the victims of the March 13th shooting in Atlanta, including those who were targeted for their race and gender. Asian Americans are our sisters and brothers, mentors, and leaders. We are here to support Asian and Asian American students.
- We mourn for the ten victims of the March 22nd shooting in Boulder, Colorado.
- Our thoughts are with those students who are impacted by recent events related to the reporting of sex assault. We feel and acknowledge the uncertainty of these times.
- We hope that justice prevails in our legal system as it grapples with an existential decision in Minnesota.
- We acknowledge the loss of more than half of a million Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

These events have devastated communities and our challenge is to persevere over all of them. At the Office of Advocacy, we offer person-centered support to all OSU students. Please reach out to us if there’s anything we can do to help you be successful this challenging term.
