Rain and inclement weather has postponed the search for the 1956 South Sister Crash till summer of 2020. Safety first. Maybe we can get the LCSO report now to review as well.

Update! Just spoke with a packer. Will get options for returning this season to the area on horseback. His grandfather helped pack out parts of this aircraft years ago! Some parts remain. Let the search continue!

Lots of research, lots of miles and great friendships. No success, but I feel we have identified the problem with relocating the site. Lessons learned from a personal standpoint for SAR. When to speak up even when you are in the minority, when to be still (even harder sometimes) and identifying team strengths and weaknesses with kindness.

Next learning experience....1956 crash of a Fairchild 24 near the South Sister. One fatal and one never found. Forensic mission of 15 people to research, re-research and learn. Pics coming soon....and the outcome.
