Happy Pride Month! We're excited to celebrate, support, and honor the lives and experiences of our Q***r community 24/7/365 💚 LGBTQIA+ people are valued members of our community and our organization. We're happy to provide supportive services, healthy relationship, and mentorship to so many Q***r youth and young adults in this time, in this region.

Through our Q***r Peers support groups, Rainbow Drop-In Hours, and the affirming attitudes across all of our programs we're doing everything we can to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing and at-risk of homelessness. Many Q***r youth find themselves at risk because of their gender or s*xuality identity, and we're proud to be here for them when others are not. We're also happy to provide parenting classes and mediation services to help repair strained family relationships when its safe and appropriate.

No matter what happens, we're going to continue to be tireless in our advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community. We'll be at Albany Pride (6/28) and Philomath Pride (6/20) events this year, and we're also teaming up with some wonderful local Corvallis folk for a fundraiser party at The Biere Library in support of Q***r Youth this Sunday (6/7) featuring Games, activities, crafts, vendors, and more!

Big thanks to Sean and everyone at Coin Jam Jr for hosting our monthly All-Staff Meeting! We love bringing together staff from across our programs for fun and team-building. Coin Jam JR is awesome! We were blown away by all the fun classic arcade games (Guitar Hero and Mario Kart were probably our staff favorites) and variety of tasty beverages. We really appreciate Training Coordinator Kevin Grant finding so many cool spots for our staff to gather and celebrate our rad staff. We're hiring! Find out more on our website, under the "Get Involved" tab.

Taking advantage of Susan and Hannah's fabulous matching red dangly earring moment to remind folks -- you can schedule site tours with us! Interested in learning more about our 24/7 Shelters or Youth Service Center? Contact Hannah at [email protected] to schedule a visit. Because of confidentiality and safety, we rarely offer open visiting hours to the public, but we're happy to make a time to show you around 💚

We love bringing our supporters into our spaces! Bring your service club, church friends, office mates, classmates, etc. and help us build deeper relationships with folks in the community. It's one thing to get these little glimpses into our work through the Internet, and another thing entirely to be in the building where we do our work. We're always happy to help our community learn more about how we support across Linn and Benton Counties.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We were grateful to Benton County Mental Health for contributing this informative, bilingual display to our Mission Central office.

Know the signs, and know that there are people who you can talk to! Healing begins in community, and many of our youth and our staff have struggled with and developed skills to manage mental health issues.

Our staff receive Mental Health First Aid training and QPR Su***de Prevention training, and we have a licensed Mental Health Therapist on staff to work with youth. Tristin is an incredible resource and works really hard to create well-being in the lives of young folks.

If you're a youth and you're struggling, don't be afraid to reach out and we will work to help you find community, connection, and care no matter what struggles you're facing.
