The Oregon 4-H Outreach Leadership Institute series for 2018-2019 is starting soon! Please share the information below for OLI Part I: College Preparation.

WHEN: November 16-18
WHERE: OSU Corvallis Campus
WHO: 8th-12th grade students from underserved communities.
COST: $50 per student; includes lodging, meals, and all activities.

Attention Camp Counselors and OLI l, 2017 Participants:
We are offering $100 scholarship for Camp Counselors and OLI l 2017 Participants towards registration for OLI ll/Youth Voices in Action Conference in Salem, March 25-28, 2018.
Since time is running out to register for OLI ll/ Youth Voices in Action Conference, we will give you one week to register and get the $100 scholarship. If you do not register by February 13, 2018, we will open the scholarships to other participants that wants to attend until the scholarship money runs out.

If you register by Tuesday February 13 at midnight, we will apply $100 towards the cost of the conference, which is $200. You will only have to pay $100 to attend the conference. The link is below:

Youth Voices in Action | 4-H Youth Development Programs

Calling all college students 19-25 years old:

Earn some hours of community service and secure a letter of recommendation from Mario Magaña for scholarships, summer jobs, or for graduate school. The Oregon 4-H Outreach Leadership Institute / Youth Voices in Action, that will take place in Salem, is around the corner and we are seeking your help again.

We are looking for facilitators for the Oregon 4-H Outreach Leadership Institute (OLI) Part 2 from March 25-28, 2018 in Salem. We need only 18 student volunteers for this event. They will serve as facilitators, group leaders, and role models for 8th to 12th grade students attending the conference. Please see the link to apply or learn more.

Facilitator cost: $25 for lodging and meals, except one dinner in downtown Salem.

Youth Voices in Action | 4-H Youth Development Programs

4-H Friends and Family,

OLI 2/Youth Voices in Action is coming up! The statewide event for young people (Grades 8-12) to share ideas, have fun, think critically, and apply new social media in civic engagement and more takes place March 25-28.

Registration is linked below; cost is $200, previous camp counselors receive 50% discount!

Young adult facilitators at Youth Voices in Action will lead Issue Groups to address questions that Oregon agencies are concerned about. Issue Groups will create responses and presentations for those agencies. During one day at the Oregon State Capitol building teen participants will talk to decision-makers, take photos, and ask questions during tours and workshops there. Moreover, teens will decide how to use their voices back home. Contact us for more info :)
