So very cool to sit down and chat with Ken and Justin from the @the_whisper_project_llc and to hear about some of their plans for the coming year. Some quite incredible ideas!
If you haven’t heard about their speakeasy and what it’s all about, I highly encourage you to do so. I would tell you but, well, that’s kind of the point... 🤐🤐
Sure, we’re the Corvallis chamber but we’ve got a show a little ❤️ to Albany now and again. Got to spend some time with the fabulous Lynn Wiles in Lux + Lu. A great location for women’s fashion as an offshoot for running princess athletic.
Wow! driven by La Rockita dozens of times but this is the first time I’ve stopped in and it is amazing. Purchased a burrito that was the size of my arm and that wasn’t even the biggest one. If you’re one of the few people who hasn’t experienced this, jump on board! They only do carry out right now.
Love our Greeters crew!
NEW MEMBER ALERT!!!
The Pathfinder Club House joined the Chamber.
1 in 5 adults will be diagnosed with a mental illness. Oregon has the highest prevalence of mental illness in the nation and ranks 49th in mental health outcomes.
The Clubhouse in Corvallis will reduce hospitalizations, improve employment and housing rates saving the community greatly in preventative healthcare cost, improving lives and creating a better community.
If you haven't seen them yet, head over to their location (right by the Van Buren Bridge) and check them out. They're doing amazing things!
Made the National News today!
The Pac-12 kicks off its new season in early November. But there won't be any fans in the stadiums. Businesses in two college football towns in Oregon are looking forward to football's return.

Always great to see members at work, especially if they’re working on our building! Shout out to @fishwindowcleaning for making our windows look beautiful.
If, like us, occasionally you are stuck for ideas of eateries in town, we would highly recommend subscribing to Corvallis Culinary Connections.
It's got great imagery from restaurants, bars, and other places around Corvallis and a short scroll is bound to make your mouth water.
You can also contribute to it, and a TON of our members are on it, too. Real pics from real people...locally. Check it out!
Would love to get your thoughts...

Corvallis your generosity knows no bounds. This is a picture of just a part of the items that have rolled into the Benton County Wildfire donations site located at the Corvallis Library's underground parking lot. Amazingly, it's already sorted - I need to hire these people to help organize my house!
If you want to donate an item to evacuees, please drop it here. Do NOT take donations to the Benton County Events Center & Fairgrounds or a hotel as donations flow from here to those locations.
If you want to know what to donate and how to donate, please check this website regularly as new needs and information is posted to it regularly. https://bentoncountywildfireresponse.recovers.org/ Thanks again for your generosity!
It's On Us Corvallis
800 Meals were served on Thursday, September 10th by local restaurants Common Fields, Cascade BBQ, Kalamata Bistro, La Rockita, The Brass Monkey, and Bombs Away Cafe. Others to join!
In the coming days, Kalamata Bistro, Bombs Away Cafe, The Brass Monkey and Forks & Corks Catering have joined forces with a generous donation from Van Vleet Meat to supply several thousand meals to evacuees. Meals will be delivered to evacuees in hotels, at the fairgrounds, at local schools, and other scattered-site locations in Corvallis.
Farmers with produce that will go to waste are encouraged to contact Forks & Corks catering. IOU will do our best to purchase your product and Forks & Corks will create delicious, locally produced meals for evacuees. Please note Forks & Corks cannot take garden produce. EDIT 9/11 2:45pm -> Forks and Corks has enough produce for now. Follow this post for updates on when they can take more!
This is an effort to reduce food waste, show community support to our neighbors displaced by fires, and allow our community restaurants to recuperate some of their lost revenue from yet another economic blow.
IOU is asking for donations to support the businesses and producers that participate in donating these meals to evacuees - you have already donated $15,000 and we are cutting the first checks today to begin reimbursements.
We're in awe of the community that pulled this together so quickly. As always, forward when you are able, however you are able. Please note: at this time, the best way to help this effort is to share this message, donate, and stay safe. To volunteer time or donate possessions please visit https://bentoncountywildfireresponse.recovers.org/

On the back of our business cards, there is a tag line that is easy to miss, but is critical in our approach and thinking as we look to grow and become more inclusive.
"We're for all business"
We can do better. We will do better. The word 'ALL' means exactly that. We have to, and I have to, do better than current efforts demonstrate.
The simplicity of it, makes it so hard. That's what makes it worth it.
