With Halloween right around the corner, we have the perfect DIY to kick off the spooky season. Create a mad scientist display with things you already have around the house and a few items from the dollar store. Two key staples for this project are jars or lab glass, and food coloring. You can put whatever items into the jars to create the creepy effect. Some objects you can add are eyeballs, gummy worms, rubber spiders, vegetables, or pasta! We would also suggest creating a head in the jar!

If you are looking for some lab glass to recreate this display, visit here: https://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/osu,or/browse/cataucs?catid=2305

Upcycle Idea: Turn an old or boring vase into art with just a little paint and baking soda or powder! For one cup of paint, add 1-2 tablespoons of baking powder/soda and mix. You will most likely need a couple coats (but let them dry in between). We used leftover house paint we had, but you can use whatever you have or take a trip to the craft store. Use any old vase you have at home, find one in the thrift store, or buy some from our public surplus site here: https://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/osu,or/browse/cataucs?catid=2705

do you have any computor tables that have a slide out writing table?
So, on Friday I came in there and gave you guys $100 for a JVC Mini DV/S-VHS recorder that I was assured was NEW and that the box had just been thrown out. I hooked it up and it does not even work, and has a layer of dust where the VHS tapes go. It will not accept tapes, nor DV, and when you attempt to load a tape, it auto powers off. To say I am upset about this is an understatement. Iv'e messaged you a photo of the receipt as well.
when is the next sale?
I worked 32 years at OSU. I started going when at that time they were actually auctions on a Saturday. So much fun. I have bought a lot of desks, chairs, file cabinets and tables from there. Can't wait to go and see what they have for the year end sale.
Any microscopes on hand this Friday?
